Timing can vary depending on the size and scope of the work including when it can be fit in to the queue. It can take anywhere from a couple of months to several months, even up to a year depending

Mark’s paintings are all priced by size.  Once discussion of the project has begun he will recommend some size options to choose from to suit the client’s budget and available space.

Yes, Mark is very adept at restoring images and can submit a finished retouched version for the client’s approval before proceeding.

No, Mark retains all copyright to the work and does not relinquish any rights to make reproductions of the artwork in any way.  He does, however, occasionally consider making prints of specific works under certain circumstances for sale. Feel free to inquire.

As a general rule, Mark keeps many commissions private and will only post with the direct approval of a client.

Mark is available to discuss any possible subject including official portraits, family portraits, groups or single portraits, pet portraits and other subjects as well. He’s happy to discuss and see what he can do for you.

Framing is extra, primarily because the options for framing can vary widely depending on size and intricacy or simplicity in design.  Mark currently makes his own frames and can discuss with you what styles of framing you are interested in or he can also suggest some possibilities showing his own samples.

Oil painting does take time to dry properly and can only be rushed so far. However, it’s best to communicate the situation and see how fast the project can be completed.   There will be a rush fee involved depending on other projects, but Mark is always happy to see what can be done to make it happen.

Yes, absolutely. Mark has often accepted and  created multiple commissions at a time. Feel free to inquire about the specifics of what you would like.

Yes, although the majority are indeed portrait commissions, many have been of a variety of other subjects from specific landscapes to even old master reproductions. Please feel free to contact Mark to discuss.

Mark is a very skilled photographer who can also provide a personalized photo session (for a fee) to create the images to be used to create the painting. Once an image from the photoshoot has been chosen and agreed upon, it can be turned into a painting at the size that suits the client’s needs.

Yes! Drawings are absolutely an option.

Although Mark has a deep love of painting from life, it is not practical to do so for commissions at this time.

To secure your spot in the queue, we require a non-refundable upfront 50% deposit with the remaining balance due upon competition.

Shipping fees can vary depending on the size of the work and distance. The cost of shipping will be calculated once the painting has been completed and has been prepped for shipping.

Yes, absolutely. Mark's work has been collected by art lovers from many different countries around the world.

Yes! Many of Mark's patrons enjoy visiting  his studio to see what other works are available or in process as well as to pick up their own custom commissioned artwork.
