I am a realist painter working primarily in oils with a focus on still life, portraits and landscapes. I’m also available for portrait commissions.
The traditional painting methods of the 17th-19th centuries have always inspired me and have definitely played a role in influencing how and what I paint. In my work I continue to develop my skills in painting, observing nature and translating my ideas to the canvas as accurately and realistically as possible. I use this foundation of sound, logical painting methods and devotion to realism to express images that are a meditation on what I want to see in the world.
Originally born in Toronto and raised in the GTA, I now reside in beautiful Muskoka where I also work out of my studio and gallery.
To inquire about a painting, make an appointment to visit the studio or commission a portrait, please feel free to contact me.
